1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are tiny files that are downloaded to your computer to track your browsing behavior, store settings, or authenticate you on websites. Like almost all professional websites, this tool might use standard server logs, but we actively choose not to set traditional HTTP cookies.
2. No Tracking Cookies Used
Download Time Calculator does not use any tracking cookies, third-party analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics), or advertising cookies. Your browsing remains entirely private and untracked.
3. Use of Local Storage
Instead of cookies, we use your browser's Local Storage. This is a local data repository built into your browser. We use it for one single purpose:
- dtc-theme: Remembers whether you preferred Light Mode or Dark Mode, so the interface loads in your preferred style upon return.
Since local storage is restricted to your local browser environment, it is never transmitted to our servers or any third parties.
4. How to Manage Local Storage
You can clear your local storage at any time by clearing your browser's site data, history, or cookies. However, note that doing so will reset your theme preference back to the system default.
